Manaslu circuit Trekking area is occupied with the overall perfect beauty of nature as one can view the unconditionally beautiful Himalayan ranges as well as cultural diversities along the trails. It will be relatively a new trekking experience that circumnavigates the Manaslu mountain (8,156m) standing tall and proud in the region. The trek has all the elements of a classical trekking experience including the Buddhist and Hindu cultural coexistence, fabulous mountain scenery, torrential rivers and streams, floral and faunal diversity, suspension bridges clad with the prayer flags, protected wildlife, and the indigenous culture. A good alternative to the much known and followed Annapurna Circuit Trek, it is popularly being preferred by the trekkers to get immersed in the wilderness and authentic village experiences. Still a restrictive trekking area, this trekking trail hosts fewer trekkers even though it is an offbeat path and offers an insight into the rural life unaltered for centuries. Manaslu Circuit Trekking also offers the lively Buddhist culture, hospitality of locals, challenging passes such as Larkya La Pass (5213m), the panoramic view of Manaslu massif, Himjung Himal, Cheo Himal, Annapurna II, Kang Garu Mountain among the other peaks. It crosses suspension bridges and passes through fields of barley, following an ancient route along which caravans of yaks hauling salt from Tibet have traveled for thousands of years. This moderately strenuous trek also takes the participants close to the Nepalese border with Tibet traversing through the dense forests, hill villages, terraced fields, glacial rivers and the cultural epitome in the form of chortens and Mani walls.
The less explored Manaslu Circuit Trekking trail begins from the travel to the hilly village of Sotikhola through the trading centre of Arughat. In the lower section of the trek, we witness the lush villages painted with Hindu faith perched along the Budhi Gandaki river. Moving upward along the mighty river the trail opens up to the alpine vegetation, desolated landscape, as well as Buddhism, influenced culture and lifestyle. The path moves past gorges and contours along the slate-paved streets of Jagat, adore the amazing view of mountains in the villages of Sho, Lho, Sama and eventually reach to the largest village in the region, the village of Samagaun. There we explore the monasteries and Mani walls, glacial moraines, ancient temples and meditation caves, glittering lakes and many more. Samdo village gives you the feeling of standing on the edge of Tibet. We move on to the formidable Larke La Pass (5160m) that links the Budhi Gandaki valley and the Marsyangdi valley. The smaller settlements of Bimtang, Tilije, Syange consists of rest of the section before we call it a day in Besisahar after joining the trail of Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Manaslu Circuit Trek is fit for the trekkers who are physically fit and are comfortable with 6-8 hours of walking per day on the rough terrains at higher altitude with a light backpack. The itinerary of this trek is designed to provide proper acclimatization to the trekkers that allow them to experience a memorable adventure, though the importance of physical fitness can't be understated. This trekking expedition along this trail is preferred during the months of March to May and September to November as other seasons make the Larke La Pass dangerous to cross due to extreme snow conditions.
Having recently completed the Manaslu Circuit trek I would highly recommend Multiland tours and treks. ..
