Annapurna Circuit Trekking starts from the town of Besisahar. We ascend steadily towards Manang past the cultural communities of Bhulbhule, Jagat, Dharapani, Chame and Pisang. The dry yet captivating terrain of Manang welcomes the trekkers, where they acclimatize for further ascend. Wide blue Tilicho lake stands ready to provide a lifetime memory to the climbers. We climb to the snowy and stunning Thorang La Pass and further trek down the snowy-dry terrain of the Holy Muktinath Temple surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty. It is equally sacred for the Hindu and Buddhist followers and hence Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries coexist. We continue ahead to the stunning Jomsom valley and reach out to the relaxing natural hot spring at Tatopani. After the splendid sunrise view at Poonhill, we trek back to the courtyard of Machhapuchhre, the serene Pokhara Valley. Rest at the Lake City of Pokhara marks the end of this journey. The cultural legacy of Ghorepani, landscapes varying from sub-tropical to alpine forests to snowy barren, immaculate meadows, warm hospitality of locals, beautiful waterfalls and lakes are all captivating.

After your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), our representative shall be there to welcome you to the nation of the high Himalayas. You shall then be transferred to your respective hotel and into rooms where you can rest & relax your tired body after your flight. Later in the evening you can even go out to stroll around the iconic Thamel area outside of your hotel. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.
This day, we shall explore the heritages listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath is an exemplary architecture representing the faith and belief of the Hindus all over the world. The other star attractions of this guided city tour are the Buddhist pilgrimages Boudanath Stupa, the largest stupa of its kind in the world and the 14th century Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple). After exploring medieval aged capital city and its companion city of Patan, we shall also interact with the trekking guide who shall provide you with information required for the tour beginning the following days. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After Breakfast, our guide escorts you from Kathmandu; take you to Beshisahar after almost 7-8 hours' drive. You drive from Kathmandu (1300m) down the hill through the high way. A long chain of green hill in both sides and beautiful river on right side follow throughout your drive. You pass through Marshyangdi river valley and finally reached the Beshisahar. Upon reaching Besishar we shall head onward to our next & final destination of the day Bhulbhule. Stay overnight at Bhulbhule.
Today, we cross the Marshyangdi River and continue along its right fork. We pass some tropical trees and terraced fields and soon we glimpse the first sights of one of the 8000 m peaks, Mount Manaslu (8161m), as well as Himalchuli and Ngadi Chuli. From Ngadi, our path climbs steadily to Bhaudanda-a small Hindu village (1300m) with shops and tea houses. From Bhaundanda our trail abruptly dips to Syange (1080m). We'll cross the Marshyangdi River on a suspension bridge and continue trek along the peaceful river and climb to the stone village of Jagat (1330m). Stay overnight at Jagat.
From Jagat our trail descends, crossing Ghatte Khola stream and climbs again through forest- From here onwards our path crosses to the east fork of Marshyangdi River. Soon we climb steep stone steps past the village of Sattale (1680m), past fields and rhododendrons along the river bank and later climb to the open plateau of Tal (1700m). We continue gradually uphill, passing the villages of Khorte and Karte to finally reach at Dharapani (1995m). Stay overnight at Dharapani.
Today, we pass a village school and also you can see the way coming down from Larkya Pass (Manaslu trekking) and continue gradually up through a forest to the typical Tibetan-style village of Bagarchhap (2160). Walking along the left bank of the river, we gradually climb to Danak (2210m). After Danak we shall cross a suspension bridge and climb up to Timang village (2600m) to continue our trek to Koto (2640m). After Koto it is an easy walk to Chame (2670m) the largest village and the Headquarter of Manang District. Stay overnight at Chame.
Today, our trek heads west after crossing a bridge but if you wish to see the small hot spring you can walk 2 minutes to the east side of the bridge. After following the west trail from the bridge we shall now continue trekking along the river banks through Telekhu (2840m) to Bharatang which is surrounded by apple orchards. Continuing on the trail for about 30 minutes take us through the banks of the Marshyangdi River, we cross another bridge and proceed with the gradual ascent about 30 minutes to reach Dhukure Pokhari (3200m). The trail now gradually turns planar and you would reach Pisang in about an hour. Pisang offers magnificent views of the Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. Stay overnight at Pisang.
It takes about five and half hours to reach our final destination today. Beyond Pisang, the trail climbs a steep ridge which provides good views of the Manang valley and Tilicho peak (7134m.). Descending past Manang's airstrip at Hongde (3420m), you come to a level area from where the north-east face of Annapurna III rises majestically above you. From the wide plains of the Sabje Khola Valley, Annapurna IV (7525m) also becomes visible. Just beyond this point you cross the considerably reduced flow of the Marshyangdi Khola via a wooden bridge to the tiny village of Mungji. Cultivated fields appear on both sides of the path and off to the right, below a craggy mountain, you can see the village of Bryaga (3500m) with its splendid monastery. Large chortens and Mani walls abound and the tall peaks of the Himalaya spread out before us. Stay overnight at Manang.
Today is our a rest day for acclimatization as we are trekking at higher elevations so today you can make short visit to Gangapurna Lake, monastery and Manang village but if you wish to do some hiking trip then you can visit Milarepa cave but if you decide to hike around Ice Lake then you need to extend your rest day in Manang because Ice Lake is hard so a full day trip from Manang is needed. You need some rest at Manang for acclimatization so it's better to not over do it while acclimatizing. Stay overnight at Manang.
Continuing from Manang on a large path, passing a Gompa (monastery), the route ahead goes on a recently constructed path up towards a high ridge. At one point there is an intersection. One path maintains the altitude, traversing the slopes towards a place where the valley is narrow; the other continues to ascend towards the line of the ridge. The former is the old path, and is much more difficult as it goes on really steep screed; the latter is the new path that goes a completely different way. Continuing along the new path, we reach a high crest, and descend on switch backs carved out through the screed slopes to a side valley of the main valley. At its bottom is a brook. On the other side of it is a building known as the Tilicho Base Camp at elevation of 4,150m. Stay overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.
Today we shall hike up to the highest Lake in the world which is waiting to meet us to see the incredible view of Tilicho Lake, Tilicho peak, Mount Annapurna range, Chulu East, Chulu West and many. After that we shall trek down to little low altitude Siru Kharka (3,930 m) which shall be the last and final destination for the day. Stay overnight at Siru Kharka.
Today we start our trail from Siru Kharka to Thorung Phedi by crossing the graze of horses and yak which might take us 5 hours. After crossing wooden bridge and by walking up hill we shall reach our final destination of the day which is Thorung Phedi. And for your knowledge, Thorung Phedi is the last village on the route before Thorung La pass. Stay overnight at Thorung Phedi.
We wake up early in the morning to go across Thorung La Pass at 5416m. The trail becomes steep instantly after leaving Thorung Phedi but easy to follow. About 4-6 hours of ascent leads us to the top of the Pass, which is fully decorated with prayer flags, a Chorten and stone cairn built by trekkers. At the top of Thorung La there is one tea shop but runs only in trekking season where you can have hot tea / coffee. The views from the trail and from the pass are grandiose. You shall see Thorung peak, Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Khatung Kang and Kali Gandaki valley etc. After Thorung La the trail descends steeply proceeding towards Chabarbu (4290m), with availability of tiny seasonable teahouse. From here on, the trail crosses meadows, drops into a deep gorge, climbs out and follows a wide trail into Muktinath, a pilgrimage site held in great reverence by both the Hindus and Buddhists. Stay overnight at Muktinath.
We start to ascend as our trekking takes us through Ranipawuwa, Gharkot and other small villages to all the way down to Jomsom. On the way we can get beautiful view of the landscape, diverse cultural variation and kind hospitality of local community. And as we reach Jomsom we can explore around it and get local brandy product made from apple which is a very famous brandy in this region. Stay overnight at Jomsom.
Now onwards we shall start descending downwards and today we shall head on towards Kobang. We shall walk past stonewalled orchards until we come across the stone gate which is the entrance to the village of Marpha, famous for monasteries, life style, apples and brandy made of apples. Then, after few hours of walk we shall again witness the narrow stone paved alleys and enclosed houses which are built to protect the settlement from the strong wind in the kali Gandaki area to reach our last destination for the day which Kobang. Stay overnight at Kobang.
We shall start walking towards Larjung today. We come across many forests of fir, cypress and juniper along the riverbank of Kali Gandaki after walking for a sometime. We shall walk for 4 hours to reach Larjung which is a small town where the major attractions are the houses built in traditional Tibetan style, narrow alleys and tunnels. And after walking for couple of hours you will find yourself in the Thakali village of Ghasa where you can see the flat-roofed Tibetan style houses. Stay overnight at Ghasa.
The trekking trail descends steeply up to Rupse Chhahara (Rupse Waterfall) which is amazing to look at. And there lies the deepest gorge of the world between two mountains, Annapurna I (8091m.) and Dhaulagiri I (8167m.) which are facing each other near Rupse Waterfall. Now the trail ascends slightly to Tatopani (1190m) through different human settlements. You can enjoy the hot spring at Tatopani as the word Tatopani is termed after the natural hot spring situated at the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. It is popularly believed that taking bath in Hot Spring helps you to get rid of skin diseases. Stay overnight at Tatopani.
The trekking trail passes through flat level of the land at some distance. Then the trail begins ascending steeply for at least one hour. Now the path goes up through different villages inhabited by the people of different caste and agricultural land. While on our trek today we shall see the best panoramic view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. The trail ascends gently all the way to Ghorepani passing through small villages like Ghara (1780m), Shikha (1950m), Phalate (2390m), Chitre (2420m) and so on. You pass through many rhododendron forests and come across wildlife such as monkeys and birds of various species. Ghorepani (Watering to Horse) is a small pass known as Ghorepani Deurali (2855m) so more tourists stay here than downhill situated Ghorepani for better views. Stay overnight at Ghorepani.
We do an early morning hike up to Poonhill (3210m) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Bahra Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After enjoying the view in Poonhill we now descend towards Nayapool which might take us about 7 hours to reach and upon reaching there we shall take a drive back to Pokhara. Stay overnight at Pokhara.
Today, you have a full leisure day to relax or do some shopping around Pokhara so you can do your own activities by yourself or consult with our guide to arrange some extra activities. And later in the evening you can enjoy walking along the banks of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake waters. Stay overnight at Pokhara.
It takes about seven hours, while driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu; you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. And from Naubishe we climb up to Thankot, the gateway to capital city. The alternative here is that you can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.
Today marks the end of our awe-inspiring Annapurna Circuit Trek via Tilicho Lake as today you take a flight back to your respective destinations or you may engage in some other activities if you have booked with us.
